these are the relevant elements i ascribe to the man i think i am
this is not political
this is not a game
this is more than something that i felt and gave a name
this is my work
it's pertinent to my internal sense of worth
prolific and eclectic with a bent to self reflect
i trust in the muse and then i bust another lyric
identity
that's my speciality
the medium through which i express reality
beliefs
are central to my concept of self
beliefs
are concepts meant to be held
just like a pen or a hammer or a book on a shelf
you can set it down to look around and get something else
i believe
in the power of music to heal
i believe
when you feel it you know when it's real
all things beautiful feel like music
but music is music
that's why i choose it
every day in the living rooms backyards and basements
picking up my instrument and laying down the basics
face it i'm not gonna get famous
